Cleanliness of hall and equipment used

Different groups of people using the hall, touching handles, using chairs. 

Make sure regularly used surfaces are cleaned before, during and after hire e.g. tables, sinks, door and toilet handles. 

Propping doors open, where possible, to prevent being touched. 

Antibacterial wipes to be used

Managing Social distancing and especially people attending who may be vulnerable 

People do not maintain 2 m social distancing 

Advise group they must comply with social distancing as far as possible and use one-way system. Adopt layout advised. Limit numbers using toilets at once. 

Signs to show one-way system 

Respiratory hygiene 

Transmission to other members of group 

Catch It, Bin It, Kill It. Encourage group to avoid touching mouth, eyes, and nose. Provide tissues ask all to dispose into a bin or disposable rubbish bag, then wash or sanitise hands. 

Where possible, windows to be open to allow for ventilation. 

Remember to bring tissues and hand sanitiser.
And provide a bin.  

Hand cleanliness 

Transmission to other members of group and premises 

Advise group to use sanitiser on entering and exiting the hall, to wash hands regularly using soap and paper towels. 

Provide Sanitiser in hall

Someone falls ill with COVID- 19 symptoms 

Transmission to other members of group and premises 

Follow hall instructions. Move person to safe area, obtain contacts, inform office. 


Social distancing 



Groups of people in small area

Parents will be asked, if possible, to not wait on site and to wait outside with social distancing or in their cars. If they have to wait on site, then social distancing must be maintained. Parents to arrive on time for the start and finish of the class. One – way system to be introduced for arrival and collection.

Children Changing 

Children will be asked to come ready in their dance clothes and after entering the room, they will change into their dance shoes. The same when leaving the building


Hygiene of Props

Transmission to other children/groups

Props will only be used by 1 group of children, and not shared with anyone in that group or other groups. Regular washing/anti bacteria wipes of props
